At Tanzly Tallow Co, we prioritize simplicity by avoiding heavy oils in our products, except for our hair balm where Castor Oil fulfills its role in promoting hair health.
Instead, we incorporate a small amount of easily absorbable and lightweight Jojoba Oil, which helps maintain the desired creamy texture and combats any potential changes in consistency.
Tallow skincare is inherently homemade. Its natural composition, rich in saturated fats, causes it to solidify at room temperature due to the tight arrangement of these fats. However, when heated, tallow liquefies as the fats loosen, only to solidify again upon cooling. This unique property makes tallow ideal for both cooking and skincare applications, ensuring it remains solid until ready for use.
In my own experience, when my tallow solidifies in my 70-degree house, I simply scoop it with my fingers and warm it in the palms of my hands for easy application.
